I have to post pictures of Halloween before we celebrate Thanksgiving!
Hannah did well at our wards trunk or treat and caught on pretty quick, but going door to door was a little intimidating for her. The first house we visited was our neighbors and she cried when the woman answered the door. No costume, nothing scary, but Hannah was not happy. It might have been the overwhelming scent of cigarette smoke that hit us like a brick wall when she answered the door, however. Made me want to cry too.
After that first house there was no more crying, she loved walking around, but ringing the doorbells and asking for the candy was not on her list of fun things to do. She would politely say thank you after every house, coaxed most times, and then as we started for the next house, she'd eagerly exclaim, "We gotta get some MOORRRE!!!" And then she'd shrink with shyness right as we reached the door. Brynlee just watched everyone that walked by, smiling as usual. I took Bryn home after we went up and down one street because I kept seeing people go to our house and I had a ton of candy to get rid of and I wasn't willing to keep it all...ok maybe some, but not all! Overall, I think Hannah enjoyed herself. She still brings me her pumpkin almost everyday and tells me that she needs to get more candy in it. And if I don't honor her request, she turns it into a nice purse!
